In this video tutorial, I will show you techniques on how to create a vignette effect. We will start creating a selection with the Elliptical marquee tool. We will then feather our selection with about 250px, after which we will repeat the feathering process once more to have an even wider feathered selection. Now we will create a “levels adjustment” layer, which will result in a new feathered layer with a mask. We will then fine-tune our “levels adjustment” layer. Once we are done, we will use our Brush tool to paint back our vignette effect.
Quick reminder: When working with the Brush tool, keep on changing your sizes and opacity for different strength quality.
